Italian Mecca of outlet shopping
The Designer Outlet McArthurGlen

The Designer Outlet McArthurGlen at Serravalle Scrivia you will find the Italian Mecca of outlet shopping. The official name is Designer Outlet McArthurGlen and is the biggest in Europe. This place is great and this is coming from a guy who doesn't care much about shopping...

OK, here is a good thing to know if your are totally into shopping. Grab your car and head for the highway towards Genova. Once you get on the highway (after using your Telepass you got after reading the other article, RIGHT!!!!) go as fast as you can, just kidding, go straight until you get to Serravalle Scrivia. It should take you 30 to 50 minutes to get there.

At Serravalle Scrivia you will find the Italian Mecca of outlet shopping. The official name is Designer Outlet McArthurGlen. Designer Outlet McArthurGlen outlet is the biggest in Europe. This place is great and this is coming from a guy who doesn't care much about shopping. Example: I wear the same boxers I bought 7 years ago. Sorry, maybe to much information.

Let's get back to the subject. Serravalle has 180 name brand stores. Basically they sell clothes that they couldn't sell the prior season or season in progress. You may also find some stuff that have a little defect but nothing major. I bought a shirt from RIFLE for Euro 17,00. The original price was Euro 39,00. Not bad! I also got a pair of sneakers from DIESEL which I paid Euro 19,00. I saw the same pair in a store in Milan for Euro 89,00. No joke! Besides the convenience of the prices it's also a nice place to spend your Saturday afternoon. My first impression was pretty strange. I felt like I was at Disneyland for shoppers. Once you go you'll see what I'm talking about. Besides the first impact it's really nice. It's clean and you have a huge selection of stores in walking distance. Forget taking the metro or hitting traffic. Don't worry about parking either. They have a huge parking lot.

Here is a particial list of stores:
Asics, Rifle, Slam, Beauty Ventures, Benetton, Petit Bateau, Miroglio, Villeroy & Boch, Calzedonia, Frette, Marina Yachting, Henry Cotton's, Mandarina Duck, Pal Zileri, Samsonite, Cotton Belt, Calvin Klein, Guess, Sergio Tacchini, Levi's Strauss, Dockers, Diesel, Hammer, Stefanel, Nike, Binda, Pinko, Rebecchi, Invicta, Diadora, Cacharel, Valextra, Saldarini, Genny, Trussardi, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, Gilli, Coccinelle, Moreschi, Fiorucci, Infiore, Wrangler, Zanolini, Lovable, Bassetti, Zerbo, Autogrill, Burger King, Spizzico.

Give it a try and let us know what you think.
