This is the only English (yes English!) restaurant I have come across in Italy and the food is amazing! The chef - who gives his name to the eaterie - is an obsessive perfectionist who creates the most beautiful and outrageously tasty food. The decor is high chique retro 70's international style with sculptural white chairs and wood panelled walls. Altogether an elegant and delicious experience. Ask for some of the 'special' whisky at the end of the meal. Amazing! Contributed by: David Beaumont

Of all the Chinese restaurants in Milan, this is by far the most interesting, (and it's not even in China town). Entering in the lobby, it seems like a nice little Chinese restaurant with a fake rock garden and a trickling fountain. Going into the back room, the tables are elevated onto a glass floor over a huge aquarium with huge goldfish and seem to thrive happily in their showcase environment. Best to book in advance and ask for "la sala acquario". |

The discreet entrance makes you feel like you are entering a very exclusive place, while in reality you are greeted with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance is elegant and simple, decorated with authentic furnishings and artwork of India. You can see the chef and his staff in the kitchen at work through a transparent wall preparing traditional recipes using authentic fresh spices. For guests new to Indian food and seasonings, the serving staff are ready to offer their expert advice. Absolutely the best Indian restaurant in Milan! Read more » |

Lebonese style appetizers, excellent buffet; baba ghannush and moutabal, hoummus and other spiced vegetables, slightly modified for the Italian palette. The most popular dish (and the reason for going there) is the cous cous served with lamb or fish. For parties, you can book the tent room and eat while sitting on velvet pillows on the floor. Wine and other alcoholic beverages are not served.

Owned and designed by Giorgio Armani, Nobu is a great place to entertaining clients, or impress your date. It is a sure bet you will see someone rich and famous. The menu offers an eclectic selection of Japanese food with a touch of South American spice. Most evenings there is "sushi happy hour". Prices are not low.

Some say it's the best Indian restaurant in Milan, others say its only ok. It all depends on your "expertise" of Indian food. The menu has a complete variety of Indian special dishes and although the service is quite slow, the staff is friendly and willing to explain the composition of the dishes for those that are not too keen on heavy spices.

Small restaurant with a Euro-mex decor (all the right elements, but much too perfect to be believable) and excellent service. The nachos with melted cheese and jalpeneos are fantastic as is the Spring Salad mad e with fresh vegetables and chicken. The tacos and burritos are like the decor...Euro-mex, but not at all a disappointment. Latino music is non stop and gets louder as the night progresses. |

Don Juan - Ristorante Argentino Via Altaguardia 2 Milan Tel. 02 58430805
Area: Pta. Romana |

Fat juicy steaks at outrageous prices. All meat is imported from Argentina, and was an important place for meat lovers during the heavy mad cow craze. The best thing about the Don Juan is the glass store front window looking in to their kitchen from via Altaguardia to the left of the entrance. On a Friday night there usually 3-4 cooks grilling and cabobbing meat and vegetables on the fiery brick barbecue. The dinning room decor is rustic South America, and frequented by the trendy chic. |
